Eden, UT – Peterson Builders Inc. in conjunction with Zions Bank, and the Northern Wasatch Home Builders Association, helped donate their time to build two playhouses that will be auctioned off in November during the Christmas Tree Jubilee and Evergreens and Christmas Things.
“When we heard about the opportunity to help with the playhouse project, we jumped on board right away “said Jason Peterson, Vice President of PBI “Our participation in building the playhouses helped two of Northern Utah’s long time charities and we were grateful to be a part of such great causes.”
Weber School District Foundation’s, Christmas Tree Jubilee, has marked the beginning of Northern Utah’s many Christmas festivities for 31 years. The event began as a way for community members to help raise funds to aid students in the district. Since 1976, when the non-profit organization was founded, it has since generated millions of dollars that have gone to the educational enrichment of countless students all throughout Weber School District.
Evergreens and Christmas Things is in its 14th year and is an event which raises funds for the Safe Harbor Crisis Center. Thousands of people attend the event every year.
Many others, along with PBI, also volunteered their time and materials to produce the playhouses.
“These men took lots of time off work to come and do something for a good cause,” said Golden Moore, Christmas Tree Jubilee Sub-Committee Chair.
Pella Windows donated all the windows that were installed in each playhouse and Wheelwright Lumber supplied all other materials.
The Christmas Tree Jubilee auction will be held Tuesday November 23rd, at the Ogden Eccles Center. The event is open to the public Wednesday November 24th and Friday the 26th from 9am to 9pm. A free preview and silent auction will be held Monday November 15th, for Evergreens and Christmas Things, at the Davis Conference Center. Dinner with a live and silent auction will be held November 16th, reservations in advance are required.
