The Olson's Home: Parade of Homes 2012
Loft for the grand kids
Mine shaft bed
Miner's tent bed
This bed pulls out of the wall and can be rolled anywhere in the room
Grand kid's bathroom in the loft
Cute fireman bath tub frame - It raises the bottom of the tub to waist height so you don't have to bend down to bathe little ones. It is designed so you can remove the frame and have a normal bath tub and shower when your kids are old enough.
Another cute feature added in for the grand kids - a playhouse under the stairs!
The home has five of these sliding barn doors.
This home is equipped with a state of the art 8.2 kilowatt solar system, in the picture above you can see the panels on their roof. In the picture below are the eight batteries that will store the energy the panels bring in.

Quartlery Things happening at PBI
We've been pretty busy during the past few months. Here's a little update...
Noah Lattin was the Employee of the Quarter!
Here are a few things that we really appreciate about Noah...
He has an ability to learn quickly
He's become a highly skilled carpenter
He's a great problem solver
He shows good leadership in different situations
He works with the whole project in mind
He pays great attention to detail
and he's just so much fun to be around!
We really appreciate all of our employees' hard work and are lucky to have such a great crew!
Thanks for the hard work Noah!
Sam Saunders worked out the most days in one business quarter!

Sam Saunders worked out the most days in one business quarter!
This year we decided to start a game to motivate the company to get moving. The goal is to work out for 30 minutes each day. The person who exercises the highest number of days in one quarter wins dinner and a movie on us! We started in the middle of first quarter and plan to try it out this year to see how the employees like it. A little bit of friendly workplace competition couldn't hurt right?
Even though our first quarter was cut short due to our late start, Sam did great! He almost never missed a day of exercise and there wasn't another employee within five days of Sam's total.
Rumor has it that Noah claims he's going to take the prize next time... Hopefully we can all give he and Sam some competition this quarter!
Another thing we've been preparing for this past quarter is the Northern Wasatch Parade of Homes! We are currently building the Olson's home in Liberty and plan to have it completed for the Parade in June. Here are some unique things you can look forward to.
Sliding barn doors
Cute playhouse under the stairs
Solar Power - This home is equipped with a state of the art 8.2 KW Solar Array System. It has utility Grid-tie inverters and a battery backup.
Jason attended the National Builder's Show in Orlando this past quarter. He received continuing education training on sustainable building of more energy-effecient homes. He was able to see many of the latest product releases in the industry.

Custom Parade Home Progress
Since last June, we have been building this home for the Olson's. It will be finished by June this year for the 2012 Northern Wasatch Parade of Homes. It's been an exciting project and we can't wait to see it completed! Here are a few photos of our progress.
